PatternStream and XML

PatternStream can directly parse and use markup files such as XML and HTML as data sources. This allows XML to be used as source of information in addition to databases and other flat files and integrated as required with the other sources of information.

In addition to using XML and other markup methods as data sources, PatternStream can directly output XML and HTML files without the use of any publishing engine. This allows PatternStream to be as an application to generate XML files from databases and other XML files and to be used as an XML transformation engine.

PatternStream also works directly with FrameMaker to create output files using FrameMaker’s output mechanism or with Quadralay Web Works Publisher.
