Krause Publications is the world's largest publisher of leisure-time periodicals and books on collectibles, arts & crafts, hunting, and fishing. They also serve the construction trade with two periodicals. The employee-owned company is located in Iola, Wisconsin, a village of about 1,200 population nestled in the beautiful rolling hills and woods of central Wisconsin. Founded in 1952 and employee owned since 1988, Krause publishes 52 hobby periodicals and offers over 600 books on a wide variety of hobby topics. Krause Publications’ book division publishes over 100 titles annually including books on antiques; arts & crafts; baseball cards and other sports memorabilia; records; comic books; coins and paper money; stamps; toys; firearms; knives; and old cars. Other divisions include the show division, an outdoors division that publishes hunting and fishing magazines, and a trade division that publishes two magazines for the rural construction trade. In total, 13 interest areas publish over 35 periodicals.

Krause is using the PatternStream solution to publish some of its annual titles from databases. Krause developed in-house PatternStream knowledge and to date has published three hobby books without FML training and setup assistance.
